The Seattle Seahawks had a busy offseason leading up to the 2025 NFL Draft, trading away quarterback Geno Smith<\/a> to the Las Vegas Raiders and sending star wide receiver DK Metcalf to the Pittsburgh Steelers<\/a>. Both players netted them Day 2 picks in return, with Metcalf going for a second-rounder while the Raiders sent Seattle a third-round selection.<\/p>\n

On Friday evening, the Seahawks will make use of the Metcalf second-rounder, and we will update as soon as the decision is made. They still have a seventh-rounder as part of a Day 3 pick swap with Pittsburgh, but the second-rounder was always going to be the centerpiece of this trade. We\u2019ll drop in the sixth-rounder the Steelers use, as well. <\/p>\n

With a pair of second-rounders in hand, the Seahawks used the Metcalf second-rounder plus their own third-rounder to trade with the Tennessee Titans and move all the way up from No. 52 to No. 35. Seattle would take South Carolina safety Nick Emmanwori, who was one of the stars of the NFL Combine<\/a>.<\/p>\n
