The Pittsburgh Steelers<\/a> are signing former Baltimore Ravens <\/a>and New York Jets<\/a> safety Chuck Clark<\/a>, the team announced on Friday. <\/p>\n

Clark is coming off two back-to-back seasons with serious injuries. He missed all of 2023 with a torn ACL, and returned for the 2024 season, but it was ended early by a torn pectoral muscle.<\/p>\n

Clark started 12 games for the Jets with 69 tackles, one tackle for loss, and two pass deflections. His most productive years came with the Ravens, where he was a starter from 2019 to 2022.<\/p>\n

A teammate of Malik Harrison, Patrick Queen, and DeShon Elliott, Clark already has chemistry with some of the players on the Steelers\u2019 roster from his time with the Ravens, continuing a trend for Pittsburgh in recent years.<\/p>\n

A Philadelphia native, Clark was a sixth-round pick by the Ravens out of Virginia Tech. His arrival should give him a chance to prove he can play free and strong safety, though he has traditionally been typecast as a strong safety throughout his career. Clark has experience at both spots.<\/p>\n

He will now join Elliott and Juan Thornhil in that room after the Minkah Fitzpatrick trade, and could see playing time if he proves himself to still have some left in the tank. <\/p>\n
