So he described playing next to Diggs as \u201ca blessing\u201d and \u201ca God gift.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Diggs first came on Williams\u2019 radar when the veteran wide receiver was coming out of the University of Maryland in 2015. Williams caught a highlight video of Diggs and \u201cjust kept watching it every day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd now look at look at us today,\u201d Williams said.<\/p>\n<p>Williams, who was born in Baltimore but grew up in Inglewood, Calif., was just 12 years old at the time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI mean, he was just different,\u201d Williams said. \u201cYou know, he was crafty. I mean, it was like something about him that just stuck out to me, and then I just gravitated towards him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Williams said he hasn\u2019t tried to make Diggs feel old by telling him he was his favorite wide receiver growing up.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOnce he\u2019s retired, then I got him,\u201d Williams said.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s a nine-year age gap between Diggs, 31, and Williams, 22.
