The 28-year-old signed a five-year extension with the AFC South franchise last offseason worth $150 million. Jacksonville did that for a reason.<\/p>\n<p>The former No. 7 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft is one of the best players in football. That was confirmed this week when Hines-Allen was named the No. 63 overall player in the Top 100 countdown.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJosh is one of those guys that makes me happy that I don\u2019t play on the edge,\u201d Former Jaguars starting center Mitch Morse said. \u201cNot only is he a physical presence, he\u2019s got the physical attributes, but he also is diligent in his craft.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In 2024, Josh Hines-Allen recorded 45 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, eight sacks, and 19 QB hits. This was a year after Hines-Allen recorded a career-high 17.5 sacks. The veteran has become one of the best pass rushers in the NFL and will be a key building-block as new head coach Liam Coen and general manager James Gladstone take over in Duval County.<\/p>\n<p>Josh Hines-Allen launches campaign against cancer as son, Wesley, battles leukemia<\/p>\n<p>You may recall Josh Hines-Allen introducing his young son, Wesley, to football fans watching the 2019 NFL Draft. Unfortunately, this time, it is to announce Wesley\u2019s leukemia diagnosis. Josh and his wife, Kaitlyn, shared a video to tell their son\u2019s story and to thank his support circle for being there through difficult times.
