MARRERO, La. (WGNO) \u2013 Kristian Fulton is no stranger to success.<\/p>\n
The former LSU defensive back was a part of the Tigers\u2019 2019 national championship team.<\/p>\n
Swapping the purple and gold for now, red and gold, Fulton is preparing for his first season with the Kansas City Chiefs.<\/p>\n

\u201cA winning organization and that\u2019s one of my goals, is to win a Super Bowl\u201d, says Fulton. \u201cI feel like it was a great fit for my skill set moving forward and I feel like they\u2019ll allow me to maximize my talents moving forward.\u201d<\/p>\n
Fulton is entering year 6 in the NFL and says his biggest area of growth has been a mature mindset.<\/p>\n
\u201cBecause once you get to the NFL, everybody pretty much has the talent and physical attributes so growing mentally and seeing how I could be better. Being there for the guys coming up, so I have to give game to the younger guys coming in the league and stuff like that so I try to be mindful of the things that I\u2019m doing around those guys and really leading my example.\u201d<\/p>\n
LSU currently has more than 50 former players on an NFL roster so seeing another Tiger across the sideline is common.<\/p>\n

This season, Fulton will play against last year\u2019s Rookie of the Year finalists \u2013 Brian Thomas Jr., Malik Nabers, and Jayden Daniels.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou thrive when you go against the best so I\u2019m looking forward to the opportunity and especially with those guys. I never got to go against Malik and Brian so I\u2019m excited about it. They\u2019re great young players in this league and I think it\u2019s going to be great competition.\u201d<\/p>\n
After hosting his youth football camp this past weekend, the Marrero native\u2019s goal is to show that football is bigger beyond the field.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s something bigger out there for them. We want to motivate them, we want to educate them on the game and we also want them to compete and have fun.<\/p>\n
