Patrick Mahomes showed off his punting skills at the Chiefs’ training campCredit: AP 2<\/p>\n Fans were left shocked and have demanded Mahomes gets a dual roleCredit: Reuters<\/p>\n Andy Reid<\/a>‘s players will be desperate to get back to the Super Bowl<\/a> after losing to the Philadelphia Eagles in the showpiece back in February.<\/p>\n They have been hard at work in practice, so fans were shocked to see Mahomes<\/a> showing off his punting rather than his passing skills.<\/p>\n In a video p<\/a>osted to social media<\/a> by the Chiefs<\/a>, their main man expertly fires the ball downfield with pinpoint accuracy.<\/p>\n He was hilariously dubbed “Puntrick Mahomes” by the team’s official account.<\/p>\n And fans could not believe Mahomes has a solid punt in his armoury, with one saying: “There is nothing he cannot accomplish.”<\/p>\n A second wrote: “Bout a four second hang time, kicked it from roughly the 20 to the opposite roughly 25. Not bad.”<\/p>\n Another added: “Let him be both the punter and QB.”<\/p>\n A third worried: “I don\u2019t need my QB stubbing his toe in practice.”<\/p>\n But fans should not be surprised by Mahomes’ talents as special teams coordinator Dave Toub previously revealed he could punt in the NFL<\/a>.<\/p>\n Toub said in 2023: “Believe it or not, No.15 [Mahomes] is our backup punter.<\/p>\n Andy Reid breaks down in tears in unseen footage after Kansas City Chiefs\u2019 brutal Super Bowl loss to Philadelphia Eagles<\/p>\n “He could do it.
