Holland Roden<\/a> is a proud member of Bills Mafia after filming Hallmark\u2019s Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story.<\/p>\n

\u201cI say I, potentially, wasn\u2019t the biggest football fan prior to this movie, but I am absolutely \u2014 for life \u2014 the biggest Bills fan now,\u201d Roden, 38, told Decider<\/a> at San Diego Comic Con on Thursday, July 24. \u201cThey converted this theater girl overnight with the kindness that they show.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Teen Wolf alum gushed that the NFL players, the employees behind the scenes and \u201cthe people of Buffalo\u201d as a whole won her over.<\/p>\n

\u201cI joke that it\u2019s, like, this ongoing election in Buffalo because of the amount of yard signs and murals and memorabilia in restaurants,\u201d Roden said of filming the Hallmark production<\/a> in upstate New York. \u201cIt is unlike any, kind of, football fandom I\u2019ve ever seen \u2014 and I\u2019m from Dallas, Texas, so we\u2019ve got a big one there [in the Cowboys].\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tThe NFL is teaming up with Hallmark for the second straight holiday season \u2014 but instead of highlighting a Kansas City Chiefs love story, the Buffalo Bills will instead get the rom-com treatment. Hallmark announced in March that their \u201cCountdown to Christmas\u201d lineup for 2025 will include another football-focused film: Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n

Roden stars in Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story, which will air during the network\u2019s Countdown to Christmas lineup<\/a> in the fall. The actor stars opposite Matthew Daddario and alongside Tony Danza, Tracy Pollan, Caroline Aaron and Steve Schirripa.<\/p>\n

While few details about the Holiday Touchdown film have been revealed, a brief summary notes that the movie centers around longtime family friends and Buffalo Bills fans.<\/p>\n

\u201cPediatric doctor Morgan Quinn (Roden) and the Bills\u2019 VP of Stadium Development Gabe DeLuca (Daddario) have always been close friends, but Gabe has always held a torch for her \u2014 a fact obvious to their families (Pollan, Aaron, Schirripa) and everyone else who crosses their path,\u201d a logline reads. \u201cWhen Morgan learns from her Uncle Tommy (Danza) that someone anonymously helped her family get by after he was drafted more than 60 years ago \u2014 and that he continues to receive a Christmas gift each year to this day \u2014 she decides to find his benefactor and give her uncle a Christmas he\u2019ll always remember.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\t\tHallmark\u2019s holiday season seems to be getting an earlier and earlier start every year \u2014 and no, fans aren\u2019t complaining. Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story was the first project announced in March, which will follow in the footsteps of 2024\u2019s Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story by bringing another NFL team into the Hallmark [\u2026]\t\t<\/p>\n

A Bills Love Story will also be peppered with spirited nods<\/a> to the NFL team, including cameos from coach Sean McDermott and athletes Ray Davis, Damar Hamlin, Dion Dawkins, Dawson Knox, Reid Ferguson, DeWayne Carter and Joshua Palmer. Roden and her costars also filmed inside the Bills\u2019 Highmark Stadium for true authenticity.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe shot in Buffalo, New York, [and] I don\u2019t think that film could have been replicated anywhere else,\u201d Roden teased to Decider. \u201cIt\u2019s not something we could have cheated.\u201d<\/p>\n
