4<\/p>\n Former Carolina Panthers defensive end Tarron Jackson is ‘conscious and communicating’ after an injury suffered in practiceCredit: Getty 4<\/p>\n Jackson (56) was injured during a practice session on SundayCredit: Getty<\/p>\n Jackson, who was signed to a futures contract after spending the end of last season on the practice squad, was being blocked by offensive tackle Isaac Alarcon when he went down injured.<\/p>\n The scary incident left 49ers<\/a> practice stunned to silence for over six minutes, according to ESPN<\/a>.<\/p>\n Jackson was motionless for a short period of time before he was then able to move his hands.<\/p>\n The fourth-year pro was taken off the field seven minutes after his injury and taken to Stanford Hospital in an ambulance just 15 minutes later.<\/p>\n Head coach Kyle Shanahan<\/a> offered a positive update when speaking to the media later in the day.<\/p>\n He said: “[You’re] always scared when someone gets taken off on a stretcher.<\/p>\n “He’s conscious, communicating with us, can feel all his extremities and they’re taking him down to Stanford now to start further testing.<\/p>\n “So, hopefully we cleared the real scary stuff.”<\/p>\n 4<\/p>\n Kyle Shanahan offered an update on JacksonCredit: AP<\/p>\n Revealing that the team continued to practice afterwards, Shanahan added: “We were close to him so we could hear him talking and we could see everything moving.<\/p>\n “I just told the guys that, which eases them up a little bit with the biggest fears and asked them if they were okay to continue to go. <\/p>\n Detroit Lions suffers major blow with superstar second-round pick officially ruled out for entire season<\/p>\n “They all yelled yes and we finished the last period.”<\/p>\n Players had taken a knee during the scary moments of Jackson being treated.<\/p>\n Running back Christian McCaffrey<\/a> revealed he was praying for Jackson after the scare.<\/p>\n He said: “It’s never good. You’ve just got to pray for the best in situations like that. <\/p>\n “It’s definitely a reminder not to take any day for granted.
