The North Carolina native appeared in 53 games over four seasons with the Tigers, finishing with 60 total tackles, including eight tackles for loss, a half-sack, and two fumble recoveries. He emerged as a key contributor in 2024, registering 32 tackles (three for loss) and a pick-six across 14 games.<\/p>\n
While Page did not rack up big sack numbers, his impact was felt in other ways. In 2024, he posted 24 quarterback pressures, tied for 35th among Power Four interior linemen.<\/p>\n
Against the run, Page proved equally effective. His 76.9 run defense grade from PFF highlighted his ability to occupy blockers, fill gaps, and consistently disrupt plays at the line of scrimmage.<\/p>\n
While the Jets brought in several options to compete for the starting role alongside Williams, few offer the upside and run-stuffing efficiency Page brings.<\/p>\n
Listed at 6-foot-4 and 300 pounds, Page has the frame and functional strength to occupy blockers, disrupt rushing lanes, and take attention away from Williams, something New York desperately needs. His game isn\u2019t built on flashy sack numbers, but rather on commanding space and forcing offenses to account for his size and leverage.<\/p>\n
With a wide-open competition unfolding in training camp and little proven depth at defensive tackle, it\u2019s not unrealistic to envision Page in the starting lineup by Week 1. Will he need to continue to flash in practice and the preseason to assume that role? Absolutely. But it is certainly not out of the question.<\/p>\n
The spot next to Williams remains one of the most unsettled on the roster. So far, the undrafted rookie has made the most of his early reps.<\/p>\n
If he can build on a strong first impression and continue stacking days in camp, Page has a legitimate path to becoming a key piece of the Jets\u2019 front. <\/p>\n
For a defense looking to free up their star pass rusher on the interior, Page could quietly become the team\u2019s smartest UDFA signing this offseason.<\/p>\n
