One transfer tight end was not enough for Alabama football.<\/a> The Crimson Tide added another.<\/p>\n

Brody Dalton, a former UAB and Troy tight end, told On3<\/a> he would join the Crimson Tide for his final season of collegiate eligibility.<\/p>\n

A Fyffe, Alabama<\/a>, native, Dalton has 24 catches for 339 yards and three touchdowns across 32 games with the Blazers and the Trojans.<\/p>\n

In 2024, Dalton had 15 receptions for 188 receiving yards for Troy. He was only one of three members of the Trojans offense with multiple touchdown receptions.<\/p>\n

According to Pro Football Focus, Dalton spent 378 of his 548 snaps as an inline tight end in 2024, along with 104 snaps in the backfield.<\/p>\n

The Crimson Tide added West Virginia tight end Jack Sammarco April 23, who has three seasons of eligibility remaining.<\/p>\n

Alabama was without Josh Cuevas<\/a>, Danny Lewis<\/a> and Marshall Pritchett <\/a>for the majority of spring practice. Kaleb Edwards<\/a>, a true freshman, will join the team after graduating high school.<\/p>\n

Jay Lindsey was the only scholarship tight end available for Alabama at the end of spring joined by preferred walk-ons Jayden Hobson and Peter Knudson.<\/p>\n
