Davante Adams was not a fan of catching passes from Jimmy Garoppolo when the two were with the Las Vegas Raiders.<\/p>\n
We found that out during the 2024 Netflix series “Receiver,” when a clip of Adams<\/a> was featured on the show that saw the superstar wide receiver extremely frustrated with Jimmy G during the 2023 season.<\/p>\n Advertisement<\/p>\n “\u201cThis is f****** pathetic, bro,\u201d Adams said in the clip.\u00a0\u201cJust throw the f****** ball, man! F***. Tired of this f****** bull****.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI gotta get the f*** outta here before I lose my f****** life,\u201d he added. \u201cI ain\u2019t never been hit so many f****** times in my career. Every game, I get f***** up.\u201d<\/p>\n Adding to that, Adams also admitted he had signed off on Garoppolo’s benching for then-rookie Aidan O’Connell.<\/p>\n \u201cWell, my opinion on that was that I signed off on that, and that\u2019s just the reality of it,\u201d Adams said<\/a>\u00a0of Jimmy G’s benching in the Netflix show. “You know, I love Jimmy and he’s a great guy, but something had to happen in order for us to have a chance down the stretch and in order for me to remain a Raider, in all honesty.”<\/p>\n Advertisement<\/p>\n Garoppolo was cut by the Raiders in 2024 and latched on with the Los Angeles Rams as Matthew Stafford’s backup, a role he still has. Adams, meanwhile, was traded to the New York Jets last season but has since landed with the Rams.<\/p>\n Of course, that means Adams and Jimmy G are teammates once again, although the former won’t be catching passes from the latter unless Stafford gets hurt.<\/p>\n With the Rams at training camp, that has already unfolded. Stafford is dealing with a back issue<\/a> that has him sidelined at practice and could keep him out multiple weeks, which means Jimmy G has been throwing passes to Adams.<\/p>\n Stafford has typically been a durable player, but he’s now in his late-thirties, which only increases his injury risk. That means it’s quite conceivable Garoppolo could throw passes to Adams during the regular season, too.<\/p>\n Advertisement<\/p>\n Garoppolo has since addressed the fact that he and Adams are teammates once again, but there was no mention of the receiver’s infamous comments.<\/p>\n “Pumped, man,” Garoppolo said<\/a> of teaming up with Adams. “Haven\u2019t seen\u00a0him in a while. Talented receiver. It\u2019ll be fun seeing him again, just getting back on the same page.
