WESTFIELD, Ind. \u2013 The Colts on Tuesday signed left tackle Bernhard Raimann to a contract extension, keeping a sturdy piece of their offensive line in Indianapolis for the long term.<\/p>\n
“Bernhard has worked extremely hard, and this contract extension is a testament to his character, dedication and persistence,” general manager Chris Ballard said. “He exemplifies each of our team’s four pillars and is a leader in our locker room. I’m excited for him and his family on this well-deserved contract extension.”<\/p>\n
Since joining the Colts as a third-round draft pick (No. 77 overall) in 2022, Raimann has steadily developed into one of the NFL’s best tackles. He’s started 40 games over the last three seasons, and he fought through some early-career “welcome to the NFL” moments to become a fixture on the left side of the Colts’ offensive line.<\/p>\n
Combined between 2023 and 2024, Raimann earned an 85.2 Pro Football Focus pass block grade, 10th-highest among tackles with at least 750 snaps. His 82.1 PFF run blocking grade was also 10th; he’s one of four tackles with a top-10 PFF pass block and run block grade in the last two seasons (Philadelphia’s Jordan Mailata, San Francisco’s Trent Williams and Miami’s Terron Armstead are the other three).<\/p>\n
