It\u2019s always tough to hear things like that and really to try to stay focused, but you have to because you have a job to do. Corey Sipkin for the NY POST<\/p>\n<p>Daboll called the shooting \u201ctragic.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThoughts and prayers are with the people that were affected in that tragedy,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Tamura, who drove across the country before the rampage, killed one NYPD officer, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/07\/28\/us-news\/nypd-officer-killed-in-midtown-shooting-identified-as-didarul-islam\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Didarul Islam<\/a>, and three civilians.<\/p>\n<p>An NFL employee <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/07\/29\/sports\/nyc-gunman-shane-tamura-leaves-nfl-employee-wounded-in-345-park-ave-shooting\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">was wounded in the shooting<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Shane Tamura, 27, walked into 345 Park Ave. on Monday and killed four people with an assault rifle before turning the gun on himself.
