It’s all love between Carolina Panthers<\/a> running back Chuba Hubbard and linebacker Trevin Wallace.<\/p>\n

The two got into a bit of a squabble yesterday, during the team’s first padded practice<\/a> of training camp. After Wallace knocked Hubbard to the ground on a pretty hard hit, Hubbard took exception and\u2014per Joe Person of The Athletic\u2014came up swinging<\/a> at his teammate.<\/p>\n

Wallace was asked about the fight following Tuesday’s session.<\/p>\n

“At the end of the day, it’s football. Emotions are gonna be had,” he told reporters. “It’s a man’s game. Everybody got pride out there. So, stuff’s gonna happen. But at the end of the day, we came and shook it together, it was all love. It was between the lines. If I got put on my behind, I’d be pissed off too.”<\/p>\n

Hubbard had a similar sentiment yesterday morning.<\/p>\n

“It’s just a football play,” Hubbard said on Monday<\/a>. “He’s playing hard\u2014that’s what Coach preaches. Nothing to be mad about, it’s just football. Obviously, a lot of emotions in it. But he’s playing hard and that’s what we need. So, I love it.”<\/p>\n

Wallace, a third-round pick from the 2024 draft, is now in his second pro campaign. He recorded 64 tackles, a sack and two forced fumbles over 13 games as a rookie last season.<\/p>\n
