PATRICK Mahomes might lose yet another weapon this NFL season.<\/p>\n

With Rashee Rice expected to miss a good chunk of the season with a possible extension, Mahomes<\/a> is going to need all of the help he can get.<\/p>\n

However, things are already going downhill for the Kansas City Chiefs<\/a>.<\/p>\n

During Tuesday’s practices, wide receiver Hollywood Brown went down with an injury.<\/p>\n

ESPN reporter Nate Taylor indicated<\/a> that Brown came up limping after a play in the end zone.<\/p>\n

The injury was to his lower right leg.<\/p>\n

Brown was able to limp off the field, but then took a ride on the cart for further evaluation.<\/p>\n

He did not return to practice following the injury.<\/p>\n

Losing Brown would be a major blow after he lost so much time in the 2024 season.<\/p>\n

The wide receiver had a sternoclavicular joint injury that kept him out for 15 games.<\/p>\n

In five games he caught just 14 passes for 141 yards.<\/p>\n

He is looking to make a better impression this year, and will need to be healthy to do so.<\/p>\n

Fortunately for him, it appears that he avoided a major injury.<\/p>\n

According to Jordan Schultz<\/a>, Brown could return to practice as early as Wednesday.<\/p>\n

Brown entered the NFL<\/a> in 2019 with the Baltimore Ravens<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He spent three seasons there before being traded to the Arizona Cardinals in 2022.<\/p>\n

Brown signed with the Chiefs last season before sustaining his injury.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs dodged two major bullets on Tuesday, as sophomore wide receiver Xavier Worthy<\/a> also had an injury scare.<\/p>\n

He was left shaken up after a play and was evaluated in the medical tent.<\/p>\n
