FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. \u2014 The Atlanta Falcons signed safety Henry Black, the team announced Thursday before its fifth open practice of training camp. In a corresponding move, Atlanta has released wide receiver Makai Polk.<\/p>\n

Black spent the 2025 UFL season with the San Antonio Brahmas. In 10 games, he made 21 tackles, two of which were for a loss.<\/p>\n

Black otherwise hasn’t played in an NFL game since 2021. Back then, he appeared in all 17 games for the Green Bay Packers, taking 24% of the defensive snaps and 73% of the special teams snaps. He totaled 38 tackles and had an interception, a forced fumble and two pass breakups.<\/p>\n

In 2020, when he was a rookie, Black appeared in eight games for the Packers. He totaled eight tackles and both forced and recovered a fumble.<\/p>\n

Black was originally an undrafted free agent from Baylor University.<\/p>\n

This actually isn’t the first time the Falcons have signed Black in the preseason.
