Two SMU Mustangs \u2014 safety Isaiah Nwokobia and placekicker Collin Rogers \u2014 have received preseason All-ACC honors ahead of the 2025 season.<\/p>\n

Nwokobia, a former Dallas Skyline talent, enters his fifth year at SMU as a veteran leader<\/a> coming off his best season yet. He was second on the team in tackles with a career-high 100 and added three interceptions for a conference-best defense that led the Mustangs <\/a>all the way to the ACC Championship game and a berth in the College Football Playoff.<\/p>\n

Rogers, the Mustangs\u2019 all-time points leader<\/a>, is coming off a 2024 season when he set the single-season program record for field goal makes. He went 24 of 33 last year and made a career long 55-yarder against Louisville. He named an All-American by several publications last season, including first team honors from the Football Writers Association of America and Sports Illustrated.<\/p>\n

In addition to Nwokobia and Rogers, Mustangs quarterback Kevin Jennings<\/a> was third in the preseason ACC player of the year poll. He received five first-place votes and came in behind Clemson QB Cade Klubnik and Georgia Tech QB Haynes King.<\/p>\n
