SALT LAKE CITY\u00a0\u2013 You know college football is around the corner when ESPN drops its annual anthem.<\/p>\n
On Thursday, ESPN released the 2025 edition of what they call their \u201cCollege Football Anthem.\u201d This year\u2019s song is an unreleased track by Machine Gun Kelly (MGK) called \u201cdon\u2019t wait run fast.\u201d<\/p>\n
This is what college football sounds like \ud83d\ude2e\u200d\ud83d\udca8 \u2014 ESPN College Football (@ESPNCFB) July 31, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n Along with announcing the anthem selection, ESPN dropped a hype video.<\/p>\n In the video for the 2025 season from ESPN, appearances were made by the BYU and Utah football teams.<\/p>\n \ufeff<\/p>\n A highlight of BYU\u2019s Parker Kingston returning a punt for a touchdown last year against Kansas State<\/a> appeared in the video. Along with Kingston, a dejected BYU fan with a stretch Y logo hanging around their neck showed up.<\/p>\n Kingston is heading into his junior season and is expected to be a key return specialist again for the Cougars.<\/p>\n Utah defensive end Logan Fano<\/a> made an appearance near the end of the hype video with a clip of him \u201cflashing the U\u201d with his hands after the Utes\u2019 win over Oklahoma State last season in Stillwater<\/a>.<\/p>\n Fano is preparing for his redshirt junior season with the Utes and is one of the top defensive ends in the program after recording six sacks the past two seasons.<\/p>\n Then the video panned to another shot of BYU players and fans after the Kansas State win last September, with a graphic over the video that said, \u201cThe wild world of college football\u201d and ESPN\u2019s new College Football logo for the 2025 campaign.<\/p>\n BYU opens the 2025 college football season against Portland State on August 30 on ESPN+ and KSL NewsRadio.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Utah travels to the Rose Bowl to take on former Pac-12 rival UCLA on August 30.<\/p>\n History of ESPN College Football Anthems<\/p>\n Annual tradition.
