Bringing back 13 of 22 starters from last year, team chemistry should be a plus for the Vikings, and it all starts with Senior Quarterback Samari Cabell, who\u2019s focused on one thing…<\/p>\n
\u201cA conference championship, for sure, and then I feel like we can go deep in the playoffs, but I feel like we can win this conference. I know everybody sleeping on us, but that\u2019s every year for us,\u201d Cabell said. <\/p>\n
As he and the Vikings attack this new-look Big Carolina Conference, they welcome White Oak to the mix while Havelock and Northside (Jacksonville) left this offseason. <\/p>\n
On the defensive side, six guys come back from last year\u2019s unit (Middle Linebacker Landon Bossolono<\/a>, Linebacker Bryson Roach<\/a>, Defensive Lineman Caden Leneave<\/a>, Safety Dallas Carmon<\/a>, Cornerback Andrew Desoto<\/a>, and Defensive Back Mason Sortini<\/a>). <\/p>\n Then on offense, three linemen come back (Ross Chandler<\/a>, Tucker Jackson<\/a>, & David Richardson<\/a>), Elijah Taft<\/a> prepares to be the feature Running Back, and both Shammah Cabell<\/a> and Jacob Stilley<\/a> are back at receiver.<\/p>\n If Shammah\u2019s last name sounds familiar, that\u2019s because his older brother is the Vikings\u2019 3-year starting quarterback. <\/p>\n \u201cThis year he\u2019s the guy, it\u2019s a lot of fun playing with him,\u201d Samari said of his brother, \u201cWe\u2019ve been playing backyard football since we were little.\u201d<\/p>\n D.H.
