The Cincinnati Bengals<\/a> have been on the receiving end of some heat here and there for the trade that sent Joe Mixon to the Houston Texans.<\/p>\n

Never mind that the Bengals<\/a> were ready to move on and trying to do right by Mixon while shipping him to a contender<\/a> instead of cutting him.<\/p>\n

The subject came up again as Mixon’s Houston Texans took on the Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Former NFL VP Andrew Brandt<\/a> shared this: “The Texans traded the 224th pick in the 2024 Draft to the Bengals for Joe Mixon. Pretty good trade.”<\/p>\n

Mixon enjoyed a 1,000-yard season with 11 touchdowns in Houston this year before his 88 yards and a score on a 4.9 per-carry average during the loss to the Chiefs.<\/p>\n

The Bengals made out pretty well in the deal too, though, getting younger at the position while finding a breakout player with Chase Brown, who rushed for 990 yards and seven scores on a 4.3 average in 16 games. Plus, the 224th pick ended up being safety Daijahn Anthony, who appears to have a pretty bright future for himself, too.<\/p>\n
