JACKSONVILLE \u2013 Jaguars 2025 Training Camp<\/a> continued Thursday.<\/p>\n

It was the seventh day of the first training camp under Head Coach Liam Coen<\/a>, featuring a 90-minute practice in helmets and “spider” pads at the Miller Electric Center<\/a>. Each day throughout camp, members of Jaguars Media \u2013 senior writer John Oehser, senior correspondent Brian Sexton, senior reporter\/editor J.P. Shadrick and team reporter Kainani Stevens \u2013 will share an observation.<\/p>\n

Consider this a bit of an in-between day, with a relatively short practice one day after an off day \u2013 and one day before a Friday night scrimmage inside EverBank Stadium. The Jaguars held a nine-period practice Thursday, with a long period midway through practice focused on the offense working against its own goal line with the ball placed at its 1-yard line. The offensive line showed stoutness in the run game in this drill, with backs such as rookies LeQuint Allen Jr.<\/a> and Ja’Quinden Jackson<\/a> turning in strong runs. Guard Chuma Edoga<\/a> continues to fare well in place of Patrick Mekari<\/a>, who remains out with a back issue. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence<\/a>, who has had a solid camp thus far, appeared to have a good day and completed a long pass to wide receiver Parker Washington<\/a> coming out of the offense’s own goal line. He also completed a long touchdown pass to wide receiver Dyami Brown<\/a> later in practice in addition to several big-time throws for first downs in other situations.
