CANTON, OHIO — The Detroit Lions have two injuries to monitor after starting the preseason with a 34-7 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in the annual Hall of Fame Game. <\/p>\n
Veteran offensive lineman Dan Skipper was seen leaving the locker room in a walking boot as reporters were speaking to rookie wideout Isaac TeSlaa. And tight end Kenny Yeboah was hurt on the final play of the third quarter, when he appeared to get rolled up on during a 2-yard run by Jabari Small. <\/p>\n
Skipper reportedly <\/a>rolled his ankle and suffered a low-ankle sprain during Craig Reynolds\u2019 10-yard touchdown run in the first half. He was replaced by second-year offensive tackle Giovanni Manu after the scoring drive. <\/p>\n The Lions are trying to figure out their offensive line depth, balancing what they know with someone like Skipper and what they don\u2019t with Manu. Skipper has been used as the extra blocker in recent years, even earning five starts last season. <\/p>\n Yeboah came over in free agency. He\u2019s jockeying for position behind Sam LaPorta and Brock Wright in the tight end room with undrafted rookie Zach Horton and veteran Shane Zylstra. Yeboah told a reporter he is confident he avoided serious injury to his leg despite the play looking rough on the field.<\/p>\n The Lions are off on Friday, and will have a walkthrough on Saturday with no access, so don\u2019t expect any immediate updates from the team on either player.
