The Minnesota Vikings<\/a>‘ biggest priority heading into the 2025 offseason was shoring up their offensive line. With J.J. McCarthy set to start for the first time, they needed to give him ample protection. Minnesota added three new starters, signing guard Will Fries and center Ryan Kelly<\/a> before drafting<\/a> guard Donovan Jackson one month later.<\/p>\n

However, it was expected that we’d have to wait a while to see the unit at full force, as Christian Darrisaw was still recovering from an ACL tear suffered last October. He was cleared to practice when camp began, although he was going to be limited to individual drills to begin.<\/p>\n

Fries was cleared to practice as well after suffering a broken tibia last year, although Kevin O’Connell made it known that he’d “ramp up” to full-team drills sooner rather than later.<\/p>\n

On Wednesday, Darrisaw made his first appearance in team drills, giving us our first look at the starting offensive line together.<\/p>\n

The drama now lies in whether Darrisaw can be ready to suit up for the Vikings’ Week 1 matchup against the Chicago Bears<\/a>. But he took a significant step towards that on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
