The Pittsburgh Steelers\u2019 offense has struggled throughout training camp so far.<\/a> While they worked to improve that group this offseason, that\u2019s going to come with some growing pains. However, some fans might be worried that they could be in for another year of watching a putrid offense. Former NFL scout and current analyst Daniel Jeremiah recently offered some advice that may ease Steelers fans\u2019 concerns.<\/p>\n

That message has been very true for the Steelers. Their offense has had some good days, but it has lost much more than it has won. The Steelers\u2019 most recent practice was particularly ugly.<\/a> The offense got dominated in the first Seven Shots period, losing 6-1. That wasn\u2019t the only time that the Steelers\u2019 offense got kicked around Sunday either.<\/p>\n

However, it\u2019s also important to note how talented the Steelers\u2019 defense is. That group was great for most of last year, and it only got better this offseason. The Steelers traded for Jalen Ramsey, who\u2019s been having a great camp. They also signed Darius Slay, who hasn\u2019t looked too bad, either.<\/p>\n

Along with players like T.J. Watt, Cam Heyward, and Patrick Queen, that gives the Steelers a formidable defense. Their offense is still trying to get on the same page, but that isn\u2019t easy against that group.<\/p>\n

Mike Tomlin also echoed<\/a> Jeremiah\u2019s thoughts recently. He didn\u2019t show any concern or panic at his offense\u2019s sluggishness. Perhaps that could change if it continues to struggle, but for now, he\u2019s practicing patience.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s a fair approach. Making mistakes is the point of training camp. No team is perfect, and that\u2019s especially true at this time of year. Teams are trying to integrate new players and new concepts. That comes with some rough days. The point is to not repeat those issues when the real bullets are flying.<\/p>\n

Players know that, too. Several Steelers have explained that they understand that their<\/a> offense hasn\u2019t been stellar so far. However, they\u2019ve also expressed a belief that they\u2019re getting better every day.<\/p>\n

With their first preseason game coming up, the Steelers\u2019 offense could be in for a rough day. The key will be if the group shows growth after that. If the offense looks rough up until the regular season, then maybe it will be time to panic. However, until then, it\u2019s better to follow Jeremiah\u2019s lead and not overreact.<\/p>\n
