The Eagles and Raiders have spiced up training camp with a trade.<\/p>\n
Philadelphia is acquiring cornerback Jakorian Bennett<\/a> from Las Vegas in exchange for defensive tackle Thomas Booker<\/a>, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Monday evening.<\/p>\n A fourth-round pick in the 2023 draft, Bennett heads to the Super Bowl champs as the more experienced starter of the two players involved in the swap. He’s played in 24 games for Las Vegas with 11 starts, including seven last season, and has 58 career tackles and 11 passes defensed.<\/p>\n Considering Philly’s well-stocked secondary, which ranked first in the league in passing yards allowed in 2024, Bennett likely won’t slot in as a primary starter in his new home. However, he does offer yet another depth piece to a CB room that includes Quinyon Mitchell<\/a>, Cooper DeJean<\/a>, Kelee Ringo<\/a>, Adoree’ Jackson<\/a> and Mac McWilliams<\/a>.<\/p>\n Booker, meanwhile, is a 2022 fifth-round draft pick of the Texans who appeared in all 17 regular-season (one start) games for the Eagles last season. He contributed 18 tackles and a sack. His addition to the Raiders beefs up options along the front seven’s interior, which was recently altered by the release<\/a> of Christian Wilkins<\/a>.<\/p>\n It’s not necessarily a seismic swap for either squad, but as rosters begin to take shape and training camps progress, these are the kind of moves clubs will make to get every bit out of their eventual 53-man roster.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The Eagles and Raiders have spiced up training camp with a trade.
