A former Carolina Panthers<\/a> quarterback is eyeing another shot in the NFL.<\/p>\n

According to Rivals High School, Teddy Bridgewater is planning to return<\/a> for the 2025 campaign. Bridgewater served as the Panthers’ starter in 2020.<\/p>\n

The University of Louisville standout was selected by the Minnesota Vikings<\/a> with the 32nd overall pick of the 2014 draft. He’d join Carolina in his age-28 season, after a three-year run in Minnesota and a two-year stint for the NFC South rival New Orleans Saints<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Bridgewater signed<\/a> a three-year, $63 million deal with the Panthers. He’d go on to start in each of his 15 outings\u2014passing for 3,733 yards, 15 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.<\/p>\n

Carolina, after just one season of the pact, traded Bridgewater to the Denver Broncos<\/a> in 2021. He’s since picked up additional stops with the Miami Dolphins<\/a> (2022) and Detroit Lions<\/a> (2023 and 2024).<\/p>\n

Rivals High School also notes that Bridgewater is stepping down from his current position<\/a> as the head football coach at Miami Northwestern High School, his alma mater. Bridgewater was recently suspended by Northwestern due to allegations of providing impermissible benefits to players.<\/p>\n
