Amari Cooper<\/a> is one of the most prominent free agents who remains unsigned following the 2025 NFL Draft<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Cooper spent the 2024 NFL season with the Cleveland Browns<\/a> and Buffalo Bills<\/a>, to whom he was dealt ahead of the 2024 NFL trade deadline. He played 14 total games and posted a combined 44 catches for 547 yards and four touchdowns, all representing career-worst numbers.<\/p>\n

That said, Cooper isn’t far removed from being a 1,000-yard receiver. He totaled a career-best 1,250 receiving yards with the Browns<\/a> in 2023 and was named to his fifth Pro Bowl that season.<\/p>\n

Given that, Cooper \u2013 who turns 31 in June \u2013 could still have something left in the tank. That could prompt a receiver-needy team to take a chance on him, hoping he can once again be a quality starting receiver.<\/p>\n

Which teams could show the most interest in Cooper? Below is a look at the top potential landing spots for the veteran.<\/p>\n

Amari Cooper landing spotsDallas Cowboys<\/a><\/p>\n

Cooper played for the Cowboys from 2018 through 2021. Could they bring him back? Jerry Jones and Co. may want to consider it after failing to land a receiver in the 2025 NFL Draft. The team doesn’t have a true, No. 2 threat across from CeeDee Lamb<\/a>, so Cooper could be brought in to challenge young receivers Jonathan Mingo<\/a> and Jalen Tolbert<\/a> for playing time.<\/p>\n

Las Vegas Raiders<\/a><\/p>\n

The Raiders are another one of Cooper’s former teams that could have an interest in the soon-to-be 31-year-old. Las Vegas has Jakobi Meyers<\/a> as a strong slot threat and spent a second-round selection on Jack Bech<\/a> but it could use a veteran to provide depth in a green receiver room.<\/p>\n

Philadelphia Eagles<\/a><\/p>\n

The Eagles have one of the best receiver duos in the NFL in A.J. Brown<\/a> and DeVonta Smith<\/a>, but the team’s No. 3 wide-out remains a work in progress. Philadelphia traded for Jahan Dotson<\/a> ahead of the 2024 NFL season but the 2022 first-round pick generated just 19 catches for 216 yards in his first season with the Eagles.<\/p>\n

Cooper could challenge Dotson for the No. 3 receiver job while providing depth and experience in Philadelphia’s receiver room. Howie Roseman once took a similar gamble on Julio Jones in the latter stages of his career, so perhaps he will be willing to give Cooper the same chance.<\/p>\n

Arizona Cardinals<\/a><\/p>\n

The Cardinals<\/a> are another team that was expected to add receiver depth in the 2025 NFL Draft but didn’t. The team currently has Michael Wilson<\/a>, Zay Jones<\/a> and Greg Dortch<\/a> to complement Marvin Harrison Jr.<\/a>, so adding Cooper to battle for a starting job could prove beneficial to Kyler Murray<\/a>.<\/p>\n

New England Patriots<\/a><\/p>\n

The Patriots signed veterans Stefon Diggs<\/a> and Mack Hollins<\/a> during the offseason. They could also target Cooper, another former Bill, as they try to build up their receiver room around Drake Maye<\/a>.<\/p>\n

With Diggs recovering from a torn ACL, it wouldn’t hurt to add another receiver like Cooper to the team’s depth chart. That would give New England a nice mix of veteran pass catchers to go with its three most recent draft picks at the position: Kyle Williams<\/a>, Ja’Lynn Polk<\/a> and Javon Baker<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Washington Commanders<\/a><\/p>\n

The Commanders may not necessarily need a player like Cooper. They already have a dynamic-looking one-two punch at receiver with Terry McLaurin<\/a> and Deebo Samuel<\/a>, a solid veteran No. 3 in Noah Brown<\/a> and a few recent mid-round draft picks in Luke McCaffrey<\/a> and rookie Jaylin Lane<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Still, adding Cooper would be a low-risk move to potentially improve Washington’s already strong receiving depth around Jayden Daniels<\/a>. Adam Peters probably won’t rule out that type of move after having success adding veterans Zach Ertz<\/a> and Olamide Zaccheaus<\/a> to the roster last season.<\/p>\n
