During a recent appearance on the Exciting Mics podcast, Jason Kelce made a humble admission regarding his potential status as a Hall of Famer.<\/p>\n
Speaking with the hosts, Philadelphia Eagles\u2019 Cooper DeJean and Reed Blankenship, Kelce shared how he doesn\u2019t think he is a Hall of Famer. \u201cIt will be weird to be honest with you. And I think it\u2019s weird because I don\u2019t even think I\u2019m the best player that I\u2019ve played with in the NFL. Even on the offensive line. Jason Peters, Lane Johnson, Brandon Brooks, they\u2019re all better players than I ever was,\u201d he admitted.<\/p>\n
The former Eagles star went on to explain how his Eagles team contributed to much of his success. \u201cI think I was very good at center, but I was a scheme-specific guy. And when I think of Hall of Famer players, I think of people that, this is a guy that was so good that no matter what team, who he played with, wherever he was at, he was going to be one of the best players of all time. And I just don\u2019t think that was the case for me,\u201d shared Kelce.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
Many fans, of course, strongly disagree with Kelce\u2019s sentiment, as he remains one of the greatest centers in NFL history. He was a seminal presence in leading the Eagles to their 2017 season\u2019s Super Bowl victory. Additionally, he is also a seven-time Pro Bowler and a six-time first-team All-Pro. Thus, many argue that Kelce deserves a spot in the Hall of Fame, regardless of whether he believes it or not.<\/p>\n
