The Jaxson Dart era is officially underway for the New York Giants.<\/p>\n

The G-Men traded back into the first round of this year’s draft to select Dart with the 25th overall pick. Clearly, they saw something in the Ole Miss product. While there have been some growing pains in training camp, Brian Daboll and the rest of New York’s staff have said nothing but good things about their rookie quarterback.<\/p>\n

“I\u2019d say Jaxson is right on schedule from what we\u2019d expect in terms of just understanding the offense, continuing to grow and learn every day,” Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka said<\/a>. “Every day we\u2019re presenting him \u2014 not just him but all the quarterbacks \u2014 with different situations and some situations you\u2019ve probably never seen before. Those have been good to build off of, whether it\u2019s in two-minute, whether it\u2019s a third-down situation or a certain blitz look that we\u2019re getting, he\u2019s able to kind of grow and learn from those examples and now as he starts banking more and more looks, more and more reps \u2014 we do a lot of this throughout the walk-through as well, he can kind of see \u2014 now he\u2019s starting to put the picture together a little bit better and cleaner for a rookie.”<\/p>\n

So far, Dart is dealing for the Giants. He completed 12-of-19 passes for 155 yards with a touchdown during the first half of his preseason debut.<\/p>\n

As Dart was dropping dimes on the field, his ex-girlfriend was turning heads on Instagram.<\/p>\n

Though the timeline is a bit foggy, Dart used to date Lola Sexton. There were rumors about them ending things on rough terms, which led to Sexton sharing her side to the story in a since-deleted TikTok.<\/p>\n

“I really didn\u2019t want to have to do this, but some stuff has been brought to my attention, and I just feel like I have to clear the air and share my side of the story,” Sexton said<\/a>. “So yes, he was cheating on me for a little over a year and a half, from what I know. I found out from an anonymous text message, whoever you are, thank you. Thank you so much.”<\/p>\n

Sexton hasn’t said anything about Dart in several months. From the outside looking in, it seems like both sides moved on.<\/p>\n

Besides, Dart has an NFL career to worry about. He’s trying to prove he can be the long-term quarterback for the Giants.<\/p>\n

We’ll see if Dart can live up to the hype. So far, he’s off to a great start.<\/p>\n
