WESTFIELD, Ind. \u2014 The Colts<\/a> are adjusting the playing-time plan for the quarterbacks against Green Bay to reflect the wrench Anthony Richardson\u2019s injury threw into Shane Steichen\u2019s initial plan.<\/p>\n

Richardson was initially supposed to play a quarter and a half against the Ravens<\/a> before giving way to Daniel Jones.<\/p>\n

But the dislocated pinky finger Richardson suffered on his second series ended up giving Jones most of the first half.<\/p>\n

Steichen\u2019s new plan for the Green Bay game will essentially be the inverse, which was the original Indianapolis plan all along. Before Richardson\u2019s injury, Jones was supposed to start and get a quarter and a half against the Packers<\/a>, then give way to Richardson.<\/p>\n

\u201cDaniel will start this game, he\u2019ll play a couple of series, and then Anthony will finish the first half,\u201d Steichen said.<\/p>\n

The big difference is that Indianapolis will play more starters on both sides of the ball. The Colts held a significant chunk of the starting lineup out of the Ravens game.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cThe starters will play about a quarter,\u201d Steichen said. \u201cThat\u2019s the plan right now.\u201d<\/p>\n

A few key players \u2014 running back Jonathan Taylor was the player asked about \u2014 may be on a different pitch count.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s certain guys that we\u2019ll have a plan for,\u201d Steichen said. \u201cBut for the most part, those guys will play.\u201d<\/p>\n

Steichen does not have a timetable for naming a starting quarterback.<\/p>\n

If he thinks the competition needs to continue into the Cincinnati game, the Colts will continue the open competition between Richardson and Jones.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re still battling,\u201d Steichen said. \u201cWe\u2019ve got a joint practice, we\u2019ve got this week and possibly next week, and we\u2019ll see how this thing plays out.\u201d<\/p>\n
