NEW YORK (AP) \u2014 Brian Daboll went viral on social media this weekend for referencing a meme that originated on TikTok in his news conference after the New York Giants beat Buffalo in each team\u2019s preseason opener.<\/p>\n
The Giants\u2019 fourth-year coach was talking after the game Saturday<\/a> about rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart<\/a> being hard on himself by calling his performance \u201cmid.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cYou got to ask him about what \u2018mid\u2019 means,\u201d Daboll said, before casually dropping in \u201c6 7″ at the end of his answer. <\/p>\n The lyric from the Skrilla song \u201cDoot Doot (6 7)\u201d has become a popular phrase for younger generations. Asked Sunday on a video call with reporters if he learned it from Dart or his kids, Daboll smiled and said, \u201cMy kids.\u201d<\/p>\n Dart, who just turned 22, showed promise in his NFL exhibition debut, completing 12 of 19 passes for 154 yards and a touchdown. The organization hopes Dart is New York\u2019s QB of the future after trading back into the first round<\/a> of the draft and selecting him with the 25th pick. <\/p>\n \u201cHe\u2019s someone that I enjoy coaching and have a very good relationship with and see a lot of positive signs,\u201d Daboll said of Dart. \u201cI said: \u2018I\u2019m proud of you tonight.
