The roster shuffle comes after the team\u2019s 48-18 preseason opener loss to the New England Patriots on Friday night. Dan Quinn said the game wasn\u2019t up to their standards, and was especially disappointed in special teams kickoff coverage that allowed two big returns including an opening kickoff touchdown by rookie RB TreVeyon Henderson.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">The Washington Commanders signed three players today, and all three of them were at yesterday\u2019s tryouts. LB Duke Riley and CB Essang Bassey were reported yesterday, and CB Antonio Hamilton Sr. joins them as new additions to the defense\/special teams. Washington also released three players(DE Viliami Fehoko Jr, CB Allan George, LB Dominique Hampton). Fehoko Jr was injured on Friday night. Dom Hampton was a 5th round pick last year that was only active for one game, but looked lost on the field vs the Patriots.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">The Commanders also placed two players on injured reserve. CB Kevon Seymour didn\u2019t make the trip to New England and was one of seven players dealing with an injury.
