JACKSONVILLE \u2013 Jaguars 2025 Training Camp<\/a> continued Monday.<\/p>\n

It was the 13th day of the first training camp under Head Coach Liam Coen<\/a>, featuring about a 90-minute practice in helmets and shorts at the Miller Electric Center<\/a>. Each day throughout camp, members of Jaguars Media \u2013 senior writer John Oehser, senior reporter\/editor J.P. Shadrick and team reporter Kainani Stevens \u2013 will share an observation.<\/p>\n

There was some unpacking and looking forward going on around Jaguars training camp on Day 13, with the Jaguars practicing comparatively light and short two days after a 31-25 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in the \u201925 preseason opener<\/a> at EverBank Stadium<\/a>. Head Coach Liam Coen’s tone Monday not unexpectedly remained true to his postgame tone \u2013 that the penalties that defined the loss, and that helped stall the first-team offense’s lone drive, must be eliminated. Coen on Monday, too, expressed disappointment with alignment and assignment during the first-team defense’s lone possession \u2013 a too-easy touchdown drive that gave the Steelers a 7-3 lead. Monday’s practice therefore featured a 40-play, extended alignment\/assignment period.<\/p>\n

“They definitely caught us with some tempo,” defensive end Travon Walker<\/a> said of Saturday’s first drive. “That came into play at practice today. I feel like we did a great job at practice today and watched the film earlier. Now we just have to continuously get on the ball, be ready and be set \u2013 and that way we won’t get caught off the ball like that.”<\/p>\n

We’re getting a feel for Coen as his first Jaguars training camp continues, and the thought here is we’re learning that he’s going to remain very transparent with the public\/media when he feels there are issues \u2013 and that he’s not going to let those issues go unaddressed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"JACKSONVILLE \u2013 Jaguars 2025 Training Camp continued Monday.
