The selection of the 24-year-old Bridges gives the Bolts an intriguing young player in the cornerback room. He will battle for a roster spot as a special teamer and joins a group that includes Donte Jackson, Tarheeb Still, Cam Hart and others.<\/p>\n
Bridges spent four years at Oregon before transferring to Florida for his final college season.<\/p>\n
He appeared in all 13 games in 2024, making seven starts at both cornerback and safety.<\/p>\n
“I see myself as both,” Bridges said on Saturday. “One of the safeties that could come down, play man to man or play zone.<\/p>\n
“Do whatever it takes to put the team in a better position and get off the field, give the offense the ball back,” he added.<\/p>\n
Bridges tallied 70 tackles (38 solo) with two interceptions, six pass breakups, a tackle for loss and two forced fumbles.<\/p>\n
