Brian Baldinger breaks down rookies’ tape<\/p>\n
The Giants got their preseason off to a strong start with Saturday’s road victory over the Bills.<\/p>\n
Numerous players stepped up in the victory, but with it being the very first game of their NFL careers, the performance of some of the rookies stood out.<\/p>\n
NFL Network analyst Brian Baldinger recently posted a few of his “Baldy’s Breakdowns” videos on social media, and among the players highlighted were three of the Giants’ first-year players.<\/p>\n
Let’s start with outside linebacker Abdul Carter, who made his presence felt despite only playing a handful of snaps. Carter was on the field for six defensive snaps, three of which were passing plays, and registered a pressure on each of his pass rush snaps, according to Pro Football Focus.<\/p>\n
What made his performance even more impressive is who the rookie No. 3 overall pick was going up against on those snaps.
