The Indianapolis Colts entered training camp planning on a quarterback competition between Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones, both of whom could very well be competing for their last opportunity to be starters in the league.<\/p>\n

Colts head coach Shane Steichen\u2019s plan was for Richardson to start the first game of the preseason, but it was thrown into flux after Richardson had to leave the first preseason game, limiting his reps.<\/p>\n

Steichen acknowledged that he would have to change his plan for the quarterback competition moving forward. Now, he\u2019s made his final decision on how to proceed.<\/p>\n

\u201cSteichen: Daniel Jones to start 2nd preseason game and play a couple of series; Anthony Richardson to play rest of 1st half,\u201d reported Underdog NFL on Twitter.<\/a><\/p>\n

Fans reacted to the news on social media.<\/p>\n

\u201cAfter this week I have Daniel Jones a full point ahead of Anthony Richardson in my QB ratings so he would be my starter Week 1,\u201d one fan wrote on Twitter.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo again AR with the second unit,\u201d another fan added.<\/p>\n

\u201cCan we get rid of this guy?\u201d one guy said of Steichen.<\/p>\n
