The Baltimore Ravens have one of the deepest rosters in the NFL heading into the 2025 season. It will be hard enough for some of the Ravens\u2019 11 draft picks to make the final 53-man roster, let alone any undrafted free agent rookies hoping to earn a spot over the next few weeks. There is usually at least one undrafted rookie who catches everyone\u2019s eye in training camp and the preseason, though, with a few strong candidates emerging in Baltimore\u2019s first preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts.<\/p>\n

My answer: DB Reuben Lowery<\/p>\n
If there is one thing the Ravens love from a defensive back, it is versatility, and Lowery has displayed that so far, playing both cornerback and safety for Baltimore. If Lowery can provide depth at both positions, similar to another undrafted defensive back in recent years, Ar\u2019Darius Washington, then his chances of making the final 53-man roster increase exponentially. Going with one less cornerback or safety on the roster would give the Ravens the ability to carry another player at a crowded position, such as outside or inside linebacker, offensive line, or running back.<\/p>\n
Depth at cornerback took a hit for Baltimore as both of their rookie sixth-round picks at the position, Bilhal Kone and Robert Longerbeam, were placed on injured reserve in the last week. Lowery could perhaps bump second-year undrafted safety Beau Brade off the roster during final cuts if the Ravens feel confident in his ability to serve as the fourth safety behind Kyle Hamilton, Malaki Starks, and Sanoussi Kane while also taking the final cornerback spot.<\/p>\n
