We were told he sustained a knee injury. However, sources confirmed the injury is not serious. We were told “it is a minor injury” and that he is expected to be full go when the fourth-ranked Tigers take on No. 9 LSU on Aug. 30 at Memorial Stadium.

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney will likely give an official update on Randall’s status following Thursday’s scrimmage at Memorial Stadium. We were told Randall will likely be held out of the scrimmage.

Randall moved to running back prior to Clemson’s College Football Playoff game against Texas last December. Though he was limited at the time, he still had a 41-yard run and led the Tigers with 44 yards on the day.

In the spring, Randall made big strides at running back, as he got most of the first-team reps. He came into fall camp holding the top spot and he has not done anything to lose it. Sources told us he had a couple of 8 to 10 yard runs in last Saturday’s scrimmage and has looked really good the entire camp.

“I think he has taken a humongous jump this off-season,” said Clemson offensive lineman Collin Sadler. “He is a lot more vocal and is leading guys, especially in a new position room. He had to go in and had to restart in a way.

“He has done an awesome job with that, so I am really excited to see what he can do with that this season.”

Randall spent his first three seasons at wide receiver, where he hauled in 48 passes for 533 yards and two touchdowns. His longest reception was 34 yards.

CLEMSON — The Clemson Insider was able to round up the latest injury information on Clemson running back…

[2026
5320,7,5324,5322,5321,5323,5325
0":"post-286057","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-football","8":"tag-clemson-insider-podcast","9":"tag-football","10":"tag-gymnastics","11":"tag-hero","12":"tag-noonan","13":"tag-track-and-field","14":"tag-wednesday
["GET
