The Jacksonville Jaguars announced a pair of roster moves at the cornerback position on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The Jacksonville Jaguars<\/a> have made a pair of roster moves at the cornerback position.<\/p>\n

The team announced<\/a> on Wednesday that they had placed Zechariah McPhearson on the reserve\/injured list and signed Keni-H Lovley to bolster the depth at the cornerback position.<\/p>\n

Lovely went undrafted in 2024 out of Western Michigan. He initially signed with the Buffalo Bills<\/a> as a UDFA. He has no regular-season NFL experience.<\/p>\n

This past spring, Lovely played for the Michigan Panthers in the UFL, totaling 26 tackles, nine passes defensed, and one pick-six.<\/p>\n

Most recently, Lovely was with the Arizona Cardinals<\/a> for a portion of training camp.<\/p>\n

During Lovely’s final season at Western Michigan, he allowed a completion rate of 50% on 32 targets with two interceptions and four pass breakups. He graded out well against the run by PFF’s metrics<\/a>, but did surrender almost 17 yards per catch on the completions he did give up.<\/p>\n

McPhearson spent time on the Jaguars<\/a> practice squad last season. He played 23 snaps in the preseason opener against Pittsburgh. Specifics around McPhearson’s injury haven’t been reported at this time.<\/p>\n
