The Green Bay Packers took an early trip to Indianapolis this week, their opponent for their second game of the preseason. Together, the Packers and Colts are hosting a joint practice, where the two teams will face off with their starters in a more controlled environment than a live game. According to Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur, the plan is for the starters to get looks in this practice but sit out Saturday\u2019s preseason game, before the starters are sent back out for full-contact action against the Seattle Seahawks in the preseason finale.<\/p>\n
Sometimes, news from these joint practices is one-sided. So to paint a better picture of what\u2019s going down in Indianapolis today, I\u2019ll be throwing in social media posts from both the Packers and Colts beat reporters to give you a more complete view of Thursday\u2019s action.<\/p>\n

On the front end, we should note that quarterback Jordan Love (thumb) will not be on the practice field versus the Colts. Love had surgery on his non-throwing hand this week and is expected to return to the field next week, though it\u2019s unclear whether he\u2019ll be a full-go for the joint practice against Seattle.
