The second joint practice went off Friday ahead of the Sunday night preseason game between the Chicago Bears and Buffalo Bills.<\/p>\n
Things are turning up for teams as we enter the final 30 days ahead of the regular season.<\/p>\n
With Caleb Williams and the starters playing against the Bills, the practice loses maybe a little bit of its luster but every rep matters.<\/p>\n
To start off, Ben Johnson said in his pre-practice press conference that there needs to be clarity in the left tackle battle and says Theo Benedet is truly in the now three-man battle.<\/p>\n
Once practice started and the tweets began to fly, there was no clarity either. All of the LTs struggled today at different points, as you\u2019ll see below.<\/p>\n
The Bears did get second-round pick Shermar Stewart back. He practiced for the first time since the opening practice of camp when he injured his ankle.<\/p>\n
Case Keenum, who exited practice yesterday, was missing from today\u2019s joint session. He\u2019s day-to-day with a leg injury per post-practice reports.<\/p>\n
Caleb Williams seemed to have a good day, at least in terms of execution. But there were still many flags and false starts for the unit as a whole.
