The Jets (3-6) beat the Texans (6-3), 21-13, at MetLife Stadium on Thursday night. Here are three takeaways from the game.<\/p>\n

Defense Wreaks Havoc
The Jets’ defense, which ranked No. 6 in QB pressure rate (38.3%) and sacks (23), entering Thursday night’s game, sacked Texans QB C.J. Stroud 8 times. It’s the first time since 2013 that the team has had 8 sacks in a gamesince 2013.<\/p>\n

DL Micheal Clemons<\/a> and LB Jamien Sherwood<\/a> each had 2 sacks, Quinnen Williams<\/a> had 1.5 for the second consecutive game, Solomon Thomas<\/a> and D.J. Reed<\/a> each had 1 while Haason Reddick<\/a> was credited with a half-sack, his first with the Green & White.<\/p>\n

Reddick, in his second game since ending his holdout, generated 8 pressures on 32 pass rushes, which are the second most by a Jets pass rusher in a game this season.<\/p>\n

“He’s done a great job, man,” DT Javon Kinlaw said. “Even coming in here, just fitting in with the guys he’s a heck of a teammate, first and foremost. He applies pressure to the quarterback, he hits the quarterback. It was going to take him a minute to get it going, knock that rust off. For him to come in and have 8 pressures, it was amazing.”<\/p>\n

Will McDonald IV<\/a>, whose 8 sacks this season rank No. 2 in the NFL, did not take the QB down but still made an impact impacted the game.
