According to Schultz, the former third-round pick out of Alabama is entering the final year of his contract. Reacting to the news, one X user instantly commented, \u201cWhy? Am I missing something? He is the final year of this deal. Brian Robinson Jr. would carry a $3.62 million cap hit and a dead cap value of $283,008 for his 2025 season before hitting the free agency in 2026. He is scheduled to earn a base salary of $3.4 million in the 2025 NFL season. If they release him, Washington would have a free cap space of $3.335 million. <\/p>\n<p>Washington Commanders look at Brian Robinson Jr. as way to land a draft pick<\/p>\n<p>On August 17, Bryan Manning of the Commanders Wire of USA Today wrote\u2013 \u201cIt\u2019s doubtful the Commanders would cut Robinson next week. They like him, but probably view him as a way to land a draft pick next year.
