While the Dallas Cowboys have shown no intent of moving Micah Parsons<\/a>, his trade request is still out there. It\u2019s the latest we have heard from Parsons as the contract dispute remains ongoing. Speculation as to where Parsons could wind up continues as well, with Ian Rapoport mentioning one of the Cowboys\u2019 bitter rivals.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would expect that the Packers would be among the teams interested,\u201d Rapoport said<\/a> via The Pat McAfee Show. \u201cAnd I would say, I would expect the Packers to be among the teams really interested. They have paid Jordan Love, they have a bunch of really good young players, but there are some guys, like Quay Walker, who they have not paid\u2026 They have money to spend and they are really good. <\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s the kind of team that I would say, if Micah were to be traded, he would be going to. Like, \u2018We need one final piece. This guy is an absolute dog. He\u2019s worth all the money so pay him all the money.\u2019 \u2026 It would be worth it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Parsons will be getting quite a hefty contract, whether it\u2019s from Dallas or somebody else. Rapoport has been somebody maintaining that Parsons will be the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL when a deal gets done. Based on this, nothing would change if he were to get traded somewhere \u2014 like Green Bay.<\/p>\n

Now, you can imagine the reaction of Cowboys fans if Parsons were to end up at Lambeau Field. No team, in recent times, has been a bigger thorn in the franchise\u2019s side during the playoffs. Three losses have come to the Packers, dating back to the infamous \u2018Dez Caught It\u2019 game in 2014. Aaron Rodgers<\/a> again broke hearts two years later before the most recent matchup, a blowout win inside AT&T Stadium in 2023. Watching Parsons in green and gold would break a ton of hearts.<\/p>\n

Jerry Jones has shown no indication of working out a trade, continually emphasizing that Parsons is under contract. Green Bay can certainly keep trying to get something done, giving a phone call to their NFC rival.<\/p>\n

If something were to come together, Sept. 28 would become a whole lot more interesting. The Packers will be in Arlington for an important early-season showdown. Based on what the Joneses have said, Parsons will be on the field wearing a Cowboys uniform for the Sunday Night Football matchup.
