Former Indianapolis Colts’ <\/a>quarterback Andrew Luck still has guilt about how his NFL career ended with the team.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ll always have guilt about how it ended,\u201d Luck said in an interview with Zak Keefer of The Athletic<\/a>. \u201cI let my teammates down.\u201d<\/p>\n

With the Colts<\/a> just a few weeks away from starting their 2019 NFL season, Luck made the surprising decision to retire. He first told Jim Irsay, Chirs Ballard, and Frank Reich of his decision. The news then quickly spread to the fan base and league as a whole.<\/p>\n

Shortly after, Luck held a press conference<\/a> to make the decision official.<\/p>\n

Now six years later, as Luck told Keefer, a catalyst behind the decision was that he ” fell out of love” with the game of football.<\/p>\n

Since Luck retired, the Colts have been unable to find stability at the quarterback position.<\/p>\n

He finished his career playing seven seasons–he missed the 2017 season due to injury–and making 86 starts<\/a>. The Colts went to the playoffs four times under Luck, including an AFC Championship appearance.<\/p>\n

Luck is now the general manager of the Stanford football program.<\/p>\n
