As the very public contract dispute between the Cincinnati Bengals and Trey Hendrickson continues, the media is putting out their trade proposals, potential destinations and everything else that comes with trade rumors. The Bengals have reportedly begun taking calls about Hendrickson again, with a hefty asking price from who wants to acquire the reigning NFL sack leader.<\/p>\n
One team being linked to Hendrickson now is the Las Vegas Raiders.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have no doubt the Raiders are the frontrunners. Tom Brady and Mark Davis want to win now, and John (Spytek) has no fear when it comes to making bold moves. The kid (Hendrickson is 30), that move is the mentality of Pete Carroll; he\u2019s not afraid of anything that could improve the team,\u201d an unnamed NFL executive told Sports Illustrated\u2019s Hondo Carpenter<\/a>.<\/p>\n The executive went on to tell Carpenter that he believes a player and a third-round pick would be enough to get the Bengals to part with Hendrickson.<\/p>\n The Raiders have Maxx Crosby, but could still use more help on their pass rush, so their interest in Hendrickson makes sense. Owner Mark Davis and Tom Brady, who is now a part-owner, are looking to win fast, and pairing two of the best pass rushers in football together is certainly a way to increase their chances.<\/p>\n With all of that said, a player and a third-round pick doesn\u2019t sound like a deal the Bengals would take, if you know anything about their front office.<\/p>\n With just over two weeks before the opener in Cleveland, the Hendrickson rumors aren\u2019t slowing down.
