Head coach Mike Macdonald said Milroe will start and play all of the team\u2019s final preseason game against the Green Bay Packers, Seahawks.com senior reporter John Boyle shared on social media<\/a> Thursday.<\/p>\n The news came after the team held a joint practice with the Packers in Green Bay, Wisc.<\/p>\n A third-round pick in this year\u2019s draft, Milroe appears to be locked in as Seattle\u2019s third quarterback heading into the season, behind starter Sam Darnold and backup Drew Lock. Darnold played one drive during last week\u2019s 33-16 preseason victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, and Lock received the bulk of the first-half reps in the first two preseason contests.<\/p>\n Milroe played all but one series during the second halves of each of the Seahawks\u2019 first two preseason games. The former Alabama star completed 9 of 15 passes (60%) for 107 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions, and added 50 yards on eight carries.<\/p>\n The Seahawks also revealed a special \u201cTush Push<\/a>\u201d package that featured Milroe under center last week.<\/p>\n Milroe had a decorated college career at national powerhouse Alabama, finishing sixth in Heisman Trophy voting in 2023. He completed 426 of 623 passes (64.3%) for 6,016 yards, 45 touchdowns and 20 interceptions, adding 1,577 yards and 33 TDs rushing during his four years with the Crimson Tide.<\/p>\n The Seahawks close the preseason against the Packers at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
