HENDERSON (KTNV) \u2014 The Raiders\u2019 preseason finale Saturday night in Arizona isn\u2019t about the scoreboard. It\u2019s about job security.<\/p>\n
Head coach Pete Carroll said the game will help determine the team\u2019s 53-man roster ahead of Tuesday\u2019s NFL cutdown deadline \u2014 and he wants players to keep things simple.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want them to be the best version of themselves in the face of all that may be built up in their minds,\u201d Carroll said. \u201cTrusting that the work we\u2019ve done, the reps that we\u2019ve taken, will give them\u2026 if they can execute that on game day\u2026 then you got a guy that can really compete and you can count on.\u201d<\/p>\n
Carroll said the competitive edge in camp has stood out, pointing to players like offensive lineman Dylan Parham, who showed his intensity this week.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe was pissed today,\u201d Carroll said of Parham. \u201cHe got mad at the defense getting after the running backs real late in the plays\u2026 he was just showing who he is and how he cares and all that. He’s tough. He’s physical. He moves well\u2026 He’s doing a good job.\u201d<\/p>\n
Defensive end Tyree Wilson, the Raiders\u2019 2023 first-round pick, will also be in the spotlight Saturday after what Carroll called \u201csteady progress\u201d this offseason. Wilson said he\u2019s playing with more confidence than ever.<\/p>\n
\u201cI feel like I\u2019m playing faster, way more fluid than I have been before,\u201d Wilson said. \u201cAnd it\u2019s going to continue to get better.\u201d<\/p>\n
Carroll confirmed \u201ceverybody\u2019s live\u201d for the preseason finale, unlike the Cardinals, who are expected to rest most of their starters. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Saturday in Glendale.
