Over the past month, the WNBA has been harassed with a barrage of green sex toys thrown at arenas across the league. On Friday, they reached the NFL.<\/p>\n
During the Tennessee Titans’ final preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings, a visitor managed to get a green sex toy onto the field at Nissan Stadium<\/a>. Per the Associated Press<\/a>, the Titans said they captured images of those responsible and reported the incident to the Metro Nashville Police Department.<\/p>\n Advertisement<\/p>\n The incident occurred while both teams were at midfield and did not appear to be noticed by the players on the field or the broadcast.<\/p>\n The first sex toy to hit the WNBA came on July 29 during a Golden State Valkyries-Atlanta Dream game. It was followed by several more, with the league getting less and less amused. Players and coaches complained the action was both dangerous and demeaning to women<\/a>, while the league threatened criminal prosecution for anyone caught throwing them<\/a>.<\/p>\n Three men have been arrested so far on a litany of charges<\/a>, with the most recent having allegedly hit a 12-year-old girl in the stands of a New York Liberty game.<\/p>\n A cryptocurrency group has taken responsibility for the sex toys<\/a>, but carefully avoided tying itself to the people who have been criminally charged. A spokesperson also indicated in an interview with USA Today<\/a> the group might be moving on from the WNBA, and that appears be bearing out.<\/p>\n Advertisement<\/p>\n This isn’t the first time a sex toy has made it onto the field in an NFL game, just the first time it’s been noticed outside of a Buffalo Bills game.
