An X-ray revealed no significant damage, and <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/topic\/jackson\" styleobj=\"[object Object]\" class=\"\" commonstate=\"[object Object]\" frmappuse=\"1\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jackson<\/a> is expected to be ready for Week 1. He was already slated to sit out the preseason finale against the Commanders, with Cooper Rush starting in his place.<\/p>\n<p>Will Lamar Jackson play in the preseason finale against the Commanders?<\/p>\n<p>Even before the injury, Lamar Jackson was not expected to play in Saturday\u2019s preseason finale against the Washington Commanders. Harbaugh confirmed that sitting him is part of the plan, especially with the regular season approaching. Backup quarterback Cooper Rush is set to start the game and lead the offense.For Ravens fans, the clean X-ray was the best possible news. Harbaugh put it into perspective by adding, \u201cI told the guys, \u2018Prayers do get answered.\u2019 I was praying.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>John Harbaugh provides clarity on Lamar Jackson\u2019s injury scare<\/p>\n<p>Jackson left Wednesday\u2019s practice after having his foot stepped on during a full-team drill. While he appeared uncomfortable and later exited alongside members of the training staff, Harbaugh confirmed there was no significant damage.\u201cHe got his foot stepped on like we said yesterday,\u201d Harbaugh explained. \u201cThey did a quick X-ray, and there\u2019s no damage or anything like that. I\u2019m sure it\u2019s a little sore today, so we just kept him in. He\u2019s going to be good.\u201dThe two-time MVP remained on the field for a few plays after the incident but looked slightly off, even throwing a few errant passes.
